O Common μετά από δύο χρόνια και την κυκλοφορία του "Nobody's Smiling" μας παρουσιάζει τη νέα του δισκογραφική δουλειά με τίτλο, "Black America Again". Μέσα στο άλμπουμ θα βρείτε 14 τραγούδια με την συμμετοχή αρκετών καλλιτεχνών όπως ο Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Bilal, Robert Glasper, Jay Electronica και BJ the Chicago Kid. 

O ίδιος σημειώνει για τη νέα του δουλειά:

I felt like Black America Again was a strong statement and it also was a way to start the conversation to say Black America Again isn’t only about the protesting and the justice. Black America Again is about humanity and how we express ourselves, love and ways of feeling free.
